Batter Up!

Batter up!!
Go Sam Go!!!
---
The moment we've all been waiting for!!!

Sam is playing T-ball for the PBL this season. We are so excited! He has expressed a genuine interest in playing. And most of you may remember the Soccer disaster of 2007...you can always go back a read the posts, ya know.
Any who...we went out for his first game and loved every second of it. Shannon was so thrilled that he went "3 for 3". Each player bats 3 times and if they miss after 4 pitches they have the opportunity to hit off the tee. Well...Sam never had to use the tee! I was so proud of that sweet baby! He did such a great job. I think Baseball is going to be an entirely different ball game for him (in comparison to soccer, that is!) He has really started to come out of his shell!
So let's hear it for #5 on Carolina Ceramics!!!!!
Go Sam...I am so proud of you, buddy!

IS THAT.....

The BLACK GAS STATION GRAVE DIGGER HAT WITH GREEN FLAMES!

Is that what I think it is??? You have got to be kidding me! How long have I been riding around with that hat on top of my car. I mean, I know people think I'm crazy...but did I have to confirm it!!!!
Okay...so I get in my car after running errands ALL DAY and I'm leaving my last stop, Hair Doodles! I happened to notice in the reflection of the store window ahead that something is on top of my car. So I got out and looked...no it isn't!
I couldn't reach it without going out the sunroof or climbing on top so I figured it would stay up there until I got home. After all...it had been up there all day. (Shhhh, I was secretly hoping it would blow off. And believe me...I was turning corners extra sharp!!)
I asked Sam how it got up there. He said, "remember this morning when you were talking to Mrs. Shannon at her house?" "uh yeah", I answered. "Well I climbed out the sunroof and put it up there" , he added. SWEET!!!! I'm glad I took the keys out of the car! Otherwise he and Fulton may have taken a road trip!
It was too funny not to take a picture! Any who...I think the hat is here to stay. (If you haven't read the post below...it will explain the whole hat thing.)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY To MICHAEL!!!

Michael and his birthday crown
Sam and Jameson help out poor old Michael with his candles
---
We gathered at Mom and Dad's for a Cookout and Birthday celebration in honor of my brother, Michael. He and Kristin came in town with Isabella and Jameson. Sam and Fulton were thrilled!!!! They had not seen their cousins in quite a while. It was the usual Tronco celebration with lots of toy slinging from the kids, cackling about old stories, and yummy food. Aunt Laynie contributed a fabulous BR ice cream cake!!! We had a great time visiting with them.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MICHAEL!!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!

A NOTE TO MICHAEL: Thanks for laughing with me about some of our stupid high-school antics. Were we really that dumb?? Did we honestly think we wouldn't get caught??? It is so nice to have shared such crazy memories with you. I look forward to making many more!

However, maybe it's a good idea if you stay in Summerville...Because I have a feeling Sam and Jameson and Fulton and Isabella will give us back everything we dished out...three fold!
