Thanksgiving was a little different this year. Typically we make our way to the lake for lunch and hang out there all day with Shannon's family. We had a change of plans this year. We celebrated Papa's 89th birthday and had dinner at our house. We hosted 17 adults and 4 children for lunch. Clayton, April and the girls caught up with us for dessert. It was a packed house! We truly enjoyed visiting with my Aunts, Uncles and cousins from out of town. I know Papa enjoyed everyone being together too. It was a special day for him.
All the food was De-Lish!!! We all pitched in and prepared assigned dishes. We were certainly giving thanks for all the great cooks in the family.
By the day's end we were feeling truly blessed that all of us could be there together. We don't get to do it often but it sure us worth it!!!!
---Thanks to my sweet friend, Ansley,
accommodating all those people wasn't as big of a chore as I had anticipated.
She helped me set the tables and make arrangements for some very festive
centerpieces! (Thanks, Ans!)---
